HOPE 2020 takes place online from July 25 through August 2, 2020. In addition to speakers, workshops, performances, contests and villages, there are opportunities for sponsorship.
The HOPE conference series is one of the most respected and highly visible in the Internet community. In its 20 years of conferences, HOPE has brought together some of the brightest minds on the planet, led by speakers like Apple founder and visionary Steve Wozniak, MakerBot originator Bre Pettis, and host of MythBusters Adam Savage.
Among the thousands of attendees are some of the world's leading Internet names, including cryptographers, privacy experts, and programmers of all kinds. What makes HOPE unique is its access - conferences like this normally cost attendees thousands of dollars to attend. HOPE is accessible and affordable.
HOPE gets significant media attention since it's the only one of its kind to be accessible to the general public. It also means our budget is nowhere near those other conferences, so speakers come at their own expense because they want to reach this audience. Our sponsorships are low key and selective, but we find they are noticed and appreciated far more than anything found at typical trade shows.
We currently have three levels of support:
$2000 - Sustaining Donor - a special thanks in the program that includes a logo if available, as well as special mention in the closing ceremonies, two free admissions, and opportunity for vending to HOPE attendees.
$5000 - Major Donor - the opportunity for either the program or the HOPE network to say "made possible by" your name/company, a special thanks in the program that includes a logo if available, a special mention in the closing ceremonies, five free admissions, and opportunity for vending to HOPE attendees.
$10,000 - Lifetime Supporter - All of the above, plus ten free admissions to this and all conferences in the future.
We have received and continue to get many sponsorship offers but we turn most of them down because we only want sponsors who are a good fit with HOPE attendees. This also ensures that the sponsors we do accept are seen in a positive way by attendees.
